The Maldives are only about 1 meter above sea-level. If nothing is done, they will disappear in 100 years.
Next will come other coastal cities - Dublin, London, New York, etc.
We can take the first step towards stopping this by insisting that industrial powerhouses such as the USA ratify the Kyoto protocol. WE MUST ACT NOW.

Please ratify the Kyoto Treaty and take the first step in trying to prevent global warming. If we do nothing, the Maldives will disappear within 100 years, followed soon after by possibly every coastal city on the planet.
